The standard phones of the German PTT
1881 - 1977

The public telephone network was a state monopoly in Germany, carried out by the "Deutsche Reichspost" (DRP), later "Deutsche Bundespost" (DBP), from the beginning 1881 till 1998. Based on this monopoly design and circuit technology of phones have been established by the DRP and supplied by several manufacturers.
